Things you didn’t know about Deni Golf Resort – Part 3

I have been told I am a bit of a clean freak, but as I have only ever been in charge of keeping a standard sized home cleanish and neatish, I reserve judgement! Iain not so much - he appreciates cleanliness as much as the next man, just so long as he doesn’t really have to do much to get there!

However, as they say, even old dogs can learn new tricks and, in this business, the learning curve has been steep! Luckily though, there have only been a few tears and much hilarity along the way.

During our extensive analysis paralysis of the motel business, we were fortunate enough to visit many of our industry colleagues and one thing that we kept noticing was how clean and neat places looked, how comfortable the beds were, and how hot the showers. Sure, there were many other things to note and comment on – fresh milk anyone – but the needs of most folk who stay in motels seemed to hinge on the basics of clean and comfortable.

Most mornings now start with big girl rubber gloves and an apron instead of the glamour of corporate suitable attire and heels (except for mascara – cannot do without the mascara!) as there is always something that needs a spritz of a cleaning product or the flick of a duster.

Iain has embraced the washing machine and tumble drier with an enthusiasm previously reserved for the wonders of armchair sport! And yes, he has developed a special way of folding towels!

We are stepping up our maintenance and refurbishment program so that each time people come back for a visit, there will be something new and fresh to notice. Can’t wait for you to see the changes!
