So why a motel?

Long story short, why not?

Both Iain and I have been in IT for most of our working careers, in one form or another. We immigrated to Australia in our (cough, cough) middle years and it finally dawned on us clearly slow learners that working for a corporate was not only NOT going to make us rich, but it was also likely to shorten our life expectancy somewhat. But what to do?

Enter Iain and his love of a road trip. A chance encounter with a motel for sale in country VIC led us on a journey that brought us to the Deni Golf Resort. The reality of the decision to toss in long careers for a new venture, a far distance away from all we hold dear (again!), while not for the faint hearted, has paid off for us in spades.

To say this is the second-best decision of our lives is an understatement (what was the first you might ask – to do it together obviously 😊).  Of course, we miss our son and our friends, but we have given ourselves an amazing opportunity here and the advantages out weigh the constant traffic, living right on top of your neighbour and never seeing a kangaroo or a kookaburra up close except in a zoo. Deni Golf Resort has reignited our passion – we want to become known for providing the best possible customer service, in one of the most beautiful places we have ever been.
